Alicante

We have chosen Alicante as the location for our courses to enable you to combine your studies with an unforgettable experience in this beautiful, lively and hospitable city.

Alicante is a thriving sea-side town, renowned as a tourist resort.

The promenade in Alicante

The Explanada, a seafront promenade lined by lush palm trees, is possibly the best known landmark of the city, which also boasts lovely golden beaches, but there are many more sights for the discerning traveller to discover.

Santa Barbara Castle and Alicante view. The Castillo de Santa Bárbara is definitely worth a visit as it provides breathtaking views of the city, the sea, and the surrounding area.

Culture vultures will enjoy the small but beautifully restored Asegurada Museum of Contemporary Art. Other museums include the recently opened Alicante Bullfighting Museum, or the Museo de Belenes (Nativity Scene museum), amongst others.

Santa Barbara Castle

If you prefer a more sedate pace, you can stroll around the old quarter, dotted with a multitude of statues, fountains and other monuments, soak in the atmosphere or go for a drink in one of the many terraces and bars.

In the vibrant port area you can enjoy a superb leisure centre, which has restaurants, bars, pubs and shops.

If it's serious retail therapy you are after, you can head off to the Maisonnave area and its surrounding streets, in the commercial heart of the city, where you will find most major shops, department stores and designer boutiques. There are also two main shopping centres: Gran Vía and Centro San Vicente, the latter adjacent to the Residencia.

There is also an outdoor market where you will no doubt find all the presents you will want to take back, such as casual clothes, leather goods, crafts or jewellery.
